Hydraulic Tapping Arms more efficient in the operation

FlexArm’s hydraulic tapping arms enable an operator to perform tapping and threading and milling operations offline while a CNC machine is running, largely increasing efficiency and improving recycle times. For example, tapping and threading with a flex-arm while a lathe is running eliminates thread milling operations. The company’s tapping arms can tap 1 ½" in mild steel at 110 rpm with the arms’ gearboxes and hydraulic power packs for high torque.

Designed to quickly move forward and back, the tapping arm is made for tapping, not just running in one direction like the spindle of a CNC milling machine. The tapping arms enable operators to program an exact rpm rotation for forward and another for reverse, providing flexibility for increased efficiency. This tapping solution also features programmable depth control, providing consistency in tapping depth.
